The Rocket City Chorus gave a well received acapella presentation of popular music like Ain't Misbehavin' and patriotic songs like God Bless the USA at the Friday monthly meeting of the Huntsville Fellowship Club at the First Baptist Church. Nineteen members in their traditional red shirts and black pants gave an enthusiastic 30 minute program to the largest audience we have had all year, which was about 60 people.
The 23 member full Chorus also gave their summer program at Mayfair Church of Christ the previous Saturday afternoon to a large and enthusiastic crowd with comedian Director Norm Myers providing a string of funny church bulletin bloopers for both performances. We enjoyed the singing and they enjoyed the shows. We have also been active the past few weeks by giving our program to other audiences.
The Chorus is now ready to start practicing the Christmas program songs. New members, both men and women, are encouraged to come sing with us on Tuesday at 6PM at the Mayfair Church of Christ on Carl T Jones Road.
